1. Who we are. These Terms govern your use of the WILLIAM Clark service (the "Service"), operated by WILLIAM Clark ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
2. What the Service is. WILLIAM Clark is an AI-assisted tool that produces vehicle diagnostic suggestions, DIY repair guidance, indicative part prices, and shop estimates based on the information you provide. Outputs are generated by AI, may be inaccurate, and are provided for informational purposes only. You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it, and for consulting a qualified mechanic when appropriate.
3. Accounts. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction.
4. Acceptable use. You must not: (a) use the Service for unlawful purposes; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service; (c) probe, scan, or otherwise interfere with the security of the Service; (d) submit malicious content; (e) infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
5. AI outputs. Diagnoses, repair steps, and estimates are AI-generated. They are not professional automotive advice, are not a substitute for inspection by a qualified mechanic, and may contain errors. Do not rely on them for safety-critical decisions. Verify all information independently.
6. Intellectual property. The Service, including its software, brand, and content, is owned by WILLIAM Clark. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms.
7. Payments and refunds. WILLIAM Clark offers a one-time Lifetime purchase. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. For refund terms see our Refund Policy.
8. No guarantees. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WILLIAM Clark's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Indemnity. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms.
11. Suspension and termination. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time.
12. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which WILLIAM Clark is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
13. Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
